About me

I’m Paul Middleton, the owner of Middleton Photography. Born and raised right here in Knoxville, TN, I continue to proudly call this city my home. Growing up, I was always an extroverted kid with a genuine love for people. My curiosity and enthusiasm for meeting new individuals and exploring different cultures eventually led me to buy my very first film camera back in 2002. I’ve always felt that I have a natural artistic eye—a love that started in my childhood when I enjoyed drawing and creating art. That passion for producing visually striking and meaningful pieces has fueled me throughout my life, from my early years as a child right up to today, now as an adult. Photography has become the perfect creative outlet that truly ignites this passion within me, and I now strive to create images that others can appreciate and enjoy.

Although I didn’t discover photography as a deep passion until later in life, I believe the talent and affinity for it have been a part of me from the beginning. As a U.S. military veteran, father, and lifelong traveler, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for capturing the beauty and diversity that surrounds me during my journeys worldwide. With over 12 years of experience working across different genres of photography, I have found my true calling in portraiture. It’s in capturing genuine emotions and forming real connections that my photography truly comes alive. I approach every session with respect and creativity, aiming to immortalize those special moments in life that deserve to be cherished forever.
